By mounting the newly developed ET-D75LE90 ultra short throw lens onto Panasonic’s 3-chip DLP™ projector, you can shorten the projection distance by approximately 60 % compared with our ET-D75LE50 short throw lens. This huge savings in space lets you effectively use the high brightness and superb picture quality of the 3-chip DLP™ projector in places that were not previously possible.

For example, by mounting the ET-D75LE90 lens onto our Panasonic PT-DZ21K projector, you can project a large, 200-inch diagonal image from a distance of only about 1.6 m. Screen sizes of up to 600 inches diagonal are supported.
By simply mounting the ET-D75LE90 lens, a remarkably wide variety of spatial applications become possible with easy, short-throw projection.

The Hi5 HD-SDI/SDI to HDMI Video and Audio Converter from AJA is a device designed to convert SDI or HD-SDI signals to HDMI for driving HDMI monitors. The Hi5 provides 2-channel, RCA-style, audio outputs for the separate monitoring of audio feeds. It also offers a looping SDI/ HD-SDI output, which is useful for connecting additional equipment or to achieve a daisy-chain configuration with multiple monitors running from the same SDI/HD-SDI source.

AJA Hi5-3G

AJA’s Hi5-3G 3G/Dual Link/HD/SD-SDI to HDMI Mini-Converter converts 3G-SDI, dual or single link HD-SDI, or SD-SDI to HDMI v1.3a for driving HDMI monitors. HDMI v1.3a capability at 30 bits per pixel allows full support for 10-bit monitors. Audio is supported in the HDMI output allowing a convenient single cable audio/video connection. The Hi5-3G provides 2-channel RCA-style audio outputs for separate audio monitoring if needed. USB connectivity allows for easy PC/Mac setup and field upgrades. To power the mini-converter, a universal power supply is included with international plug connectors for worldwide use.

Note: The Hi5-3G does not encode the HDMI output with HDCP encryption. By definition, SDI/HD-SDI inputs to the Hi5-3G are unencrypted.

How It Works

The DVI FM 500 Sender unit plugs into a DVI port (either a computer source or another device transmitting a DVI signal). The DVI FM 500 Receiver unit plugs into a DVI display – up to 5,000 feet away. Two-strand LC fiber optic cable connects the DVI FM 500 Sender unit and the DVI FM 500 Receiver units to each other. Power is connected to the DVI FM 500 receiver using the 5V wall adapter and a crisp, vibrant HD picture appears on the display.

Note:

The distance that DVI can be extended will depend on the type of fiber optic cable used.
For a maximum resolution of 1920×1200 at 60 frames per second (60 Hz), the distances possible are as follows:

Single mode: 9(8)/125 µm core: 1500m (5,000 ft)
Multi mode: 50(62.5)/125 µm core: 500m (1,500 ft)

An external +5VDC power adapter is generally required for the receiver module. Most video cards can provide +5V DC power to the transmitter module but it also has provision for external power. Both power supplies are included.

The yellobrik OBD 1510 E Ethernet to 1Gbit Fiber Bi-directional Transceiver Pair from Lynx Technik AG is a matched pair of compact Ethernet switches designed to extend the reach of electrical Ethernet signals over long distances. The two switches are linked via a single bi-directional fiber link, which operates at a constant 1Gb speed.

This pair of modules uses WDM fiber technology in a closed loop arrangement and essentially functions as an Ethernet extender solution. The fiber link supports distances up to 6.2 mi (10km) and provides a single, high-speed 1Gb error-free optical connection between the two locations.

Each OBD 1510 E module has two standard RJ-45 electrical Ethernet ports and the complete system functions as a 4-port Ethernet switch, providing two standard RJ-45 Ethernet ports at each location bridged with fiber. For legacy systems, each electrical Ethernet port can be set for automatic speed detection (10/100/1000 Mb/s) or forced to 10Mb. Each port uses auto crossover detection or can be forced manually if needed. These functions are available using the dip switch.
