Rentex has an immediate opening for the General Manager of our new audiovisual and computer rental warehouse in Tempe, AZ (Phoenix). We offer a great work environment, competitive pay with bonuses, and a comprehensive benefit package (see below for benefits).

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for making sure all aspects of the local warehouse including layout, scheduling, equipment maintenance, fleet, facility, dispatch, organization, and personnel are operating at the highest level. Balance managing your local team while working as part of a national operation. This is an extremely fast-paced role with priorities that can change quickly based on client needs. The right leader will always steer the team in the right direction.

What you will do.

• Understand and oversee the daily flow of equipment through the warehouse.
• Coordinate the inbound, outbound, and trucking departments to create maximum efficiency while empowering department leaders.
• Create and manage daily/weekly/monthly tasks and reporting to ensure the smooth functioning of the branch.
• Facilitate same-day orders and equipment quick turnarounds.
• Anticipate warehouse problems/issues and actively work to prevent them.
• Optimize warehouse layout for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain stock of warehouse supplies and consumables.
• Provide daily direction and accountability to your team.
• Allocate warehouse personnel resources.
• Provide training to warehouse team members.

About you.

• 2-3 years of related warehouse management experience.
• 5 years of successfully supervising operations teams of ten or more.
• Strong management skills, highly motivated and the ability to grow and develop a team.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Effective communication (written and oral), interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
• Effective time management skills and highly developed organizational skills.
• A positive attitude with a desire to continually improve performance.
• Have working knowledge of warehouse layout.
• Possess any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from high school or a GED.
• Prior experience in the audio-visual industry.
